Imminente uscita

È ormai prossima l’uscita del volume che raccoglie gli atti della XIV Summer School.

Babele e dintorni - Fra catastrofismi e nuovi percorsi di senso.

L’immagine di Babele oggi evoca una situazione di grandi mutamenti e si associa a quella di nuovi scenari di senso. Alle identità tradizionali se ne sostituiscono altre, caratterizzate da mutamenti accelerati, al punto che tutto sembra intercambiabile e relativo: come dice Z. Bauman viviamo nella società liquida. Gli effetti dei processi di globalizzazione possono rinviare anche a prospettive catastrofiste evocanti apocalissi, calamità imminenti, come del resto i problemi ambientali, energetici, alimentari sembrano prefigurare. E tuttavia non manca lo sforzo di creare nuove prospettive di convivenza umana e di crescita sociale e civile, con percorsi coraggiosi e innovativi. Il volume tratta queste tematiche in una prospettiva interdisciplinare e vuole rappresentare un contributo alla riflessione. La testimonianza di studiosi europei e latino americani mostra come il rischio di una nuova Babele possa essere evitato con una visione che lasci spazio al confronto e alla speranza.
